Max Holste 1521M Broussard
Have you ever wanted to own/fly the legendary DeHavilland Beaver, the plane made famous by bush pilots in Alaska?
Harrison Ford loved them so much that he bought one after filming "Six Days and Seven Nights".  The Broussard is the answer
to the mission of the DeHavilland Beaver, built specifically for the French military.  They were manufactured to the highest
standards of quality at the Avions factory in France.  Everything used in its construction is mill spec.  In fact, the skins are all
painted internally before assembly to eliminate the problems associated with corrosion.  When you open this plane up, the inside
of the wings and fuselage look like they just left the factory last week.  This is your chance to own one of the most practical
warbirds available at only 1/4 of the price of a 10,000 hour Beaver.  This beautiful Max Holste 1521M Broussard is in excellent
mechanical and cosmetic condition.  It has a very nice military style Imron paint job and has been hangared ever since it was
painted.  We fly it regularly, but due to an expanding family we won't be able to make the fly-ins for the next few years.  It has a
six place utility interior in which the rear four seats can be quickly and easily removed without tools to reveal a flat cargo floor
measuring 4' X 7'.  The double cargo doors open up to 44" high by 48" wide!  Power is from one of the most reliable radial
engines ever built, the Pratt & Whitney R-985 450 HP nine cylinder radial swinging a Hamilton Standard two blade counterweight
constant speed prop.  The Broussard is a great aircraft for bush pilots needing a lot of cargo room, "Air America" types needing
to start or counter an insurgency, or just making the local fly-ins.  There is no need to leave any of the comforts of home behind
when you have over 100 cubic feet of storage space available.   Useful load is around 2000 pounds.  Fuel capacity is close to
120 gallons and consumption is 20gph at a normal cruise of 120mph.  Visibility is great, and ground handling is excellent.  The
STOL capabilities are good and it is a lot of fun to fly.  It is also quite easy to maintain.  Any shop with general aviation
experience will be able to handle the maintenance of this aircraft.  This Broussard is registered in the experimental/exhibition
category (as are almost all warbirds).  This particular aircraft is considered "pre-moratorium" and therefore doesn't require an
annual program letter and also does not have any geographic restrictions.  The logs go back to include its military history, and
may be quite interesting to anyone able to read French.  There is a huge spares package included with this aircraft.  See the
spares list below.

Please feel free to call (252-426-9676) or email (cduster@inteliport.com) to discuss this wonderful aircraft, or make
arrangements to drop by and see it in our hangar (located at 86NC in North Eastern NC).  It will be sold with a fresh condition
inspection (annual inspection).  Check out is available.  Also, call if you would like to discuss trades.  As is normally the case, the
aircraft is subject to prior sale.

This is a fun flying machine with awesome capabilities.  STOL operations are the norm with a useful load of nearly a ton!
Airframe is in excellent condition with less than 1500 hours since military overhaul!  All sheet metal is straight with no hail
damage or bird strikes.  The airframe is corrosion free.  Fabric control surfaces are in good condition.  The right hand rudder is
exhibiting some cracking due to dope shrinkage under the paint, but the underlying fabric is in good condition.  The paint is in
great condition.  The aircraft is painted in DuPont Imron and has been hangared since painting.  The windshields show some
crazing.  New windshields are included with sale.  If time allows we will install the new glass.  All of the other glass is in good
condition.  The interior is in great condition.  The seats are in good condition.  All systems are working well with th exception of
the old military radios which are just for show.  We just installed an oil tank heater to cut down on the warm up time.
